DIGITAL DARKROOM Equipment

  • 24x Apple Mac Studios with 27” Color Calibrated BenQ LCD Monitors installed with the latest Adobe Creative Cloud and CaptureOne Pro software.

    • 12x Apple Mac Studios with 27” Color Calibrated BenQ LCD Monitors as Dedicated Print Machines, connected to Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 printers.

    • 1x Apple Mac Studio with 27” Color Calibrated BenQ LCD Monitor as Dedicated Large Format Print Machine, connected to Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 printer.

    • 2x Apple Mac Studios with 27” Color Calibrated BenQ LCD Monitors as Dedicated Film Scanner, connected to Canon CanoScan 9000F Mark II Film & Document Scanner.

  • All Apple Mac Studios with 27” BenQ LCD Monitors are color-calibrated in a controlled digital darkroom workspace.

Printing

Printers are available only to PHO students and for PHO assignments/projects. 8.5 x 11” Luster and Matte Paper is currently being provided for use. If you have any questions, please ask the Studio Manager.

Digital Storage

All Apple Mac Studios reboot during the night and restart in a clean state.  Any digital files stored on the local hard drive will be lost.  Utilizing your external hard drive for all storage or cloud solutions, such as Google Drive and/or Dropbox, is recommended.

Digital Darkroom Etiquette

The Principle of Studio Etiquette is to keep a tidy and clean workspace, free of clutter.  The responsibility of the Photographer is to return all equipment to its proper place.  Keep all food/liquid away from workspaces.
